I'm a mom. And a wife. And a friend and a writer and a short order cook. Add bus driver, counselor, fashion merchandiser, good cop, bad cop, and stand in entertainer to the list and it's a small beginning of the skill set I'm gaining in the "Parent" career track. But the most useful thing I'm learning as a parent, weighed on a "what does it matter eternally" scale, is how to be His child. Rockabye Grace. It happened in little snippets. This gradual revealing of learning about who God, in His sovereign Majestic Parenthood, is by my fledgling successes and heartbreaking failures. Not to say that there’s anything that I could possibly discover that hasn’t been continually and eternally proven by His Word and Works. On the contrary. Through His mercy and grace, I have been allowed to become a parent of six beautiful children. And somewhere in the middle of sleepy lullabyes and chaotic dashes to soccer practice, I’ve seen glimpses of what it means to be His child, to have a Perfect Father. His Word confirms His promises. My salvation confirms His grace. View all posts by Alissa McGough
